Real Families: Stories of Change | 6 October 2023 - 7 January 2024
Researching 'The Family' is our mission here at the Centre for Family Research...the clue is in the name! Over the past fifty-plus years, since the Centre was launched, we have witnessed a huge amount of change in the concept of 'Family'.
"Real Families: Stories of Change" is a new exhibition at Cambridge's Fitzwilliam museum, curated by the CFR's Prof. Susan Golombok. The exhibition showcases more than 120 contemporary pieces.
The pieces look at what makes a family in the modern world, and the impact our own families have on us.
The exhibition includes:
- painting
- photography
- sculpture
- film
- music
- Also includes a spotlight on artist Chantal Joffe!
Other featured artists include Albrecht Dürer, Tracey Emin, Lucian Freud, Jim Goldberg, JJ Levine, Aliza Nisenbaum, Hardeep Pandhal, Celia Paul, Nicolas Poussin, Paula Rego, Joshua Reynolds, Cathy Wilkes, ...and more besides!
We hope to see you there!
