At a convenient time for the family, each child will take part in a zoom session that includes 20- to 30-minutes of games (e.g., puppet stories and memory games) designed to test children’s developmental skills and to gather children’s views about school. In order to track each child’s progress, we will repeat these sessions in Year 1. At each time-point and with parental and school consent, we will also film each child in 10-minute play sessions at school with a classmate, using freshly cleaned ‘Mobilio’ sets. The zoom recordings and peer videos are valuable for our research and, if we have explicit parental consent may also be used for teaching.
